Ford Recall Repair in Kent, WA
Got a recall notice? Safety recall repairs are always free — parts and labor — and you don't have to go back to the dealer you bought from. Any authorized Ford dealer can do it, and we're the closest one for most of South King County.
That's a direct line to a live appointment coordinator — no phone tree, typically answered within 15 seconds. Have your VIN handy and we'll check for open recalls while you're on the phone.
Always Free
Safety recall repairs are performed at no charge for parts and labor. That's federal law, not a promotion.
Any Ford Dealer
Bought it in Seattle, Tacoma, or out of state? Doesn't matter. You never have to return to the selling dealer for a recall.
Ford Dealers Only
Independent shops can't perform or close out a Ford recall. It has to be an authorized dealer with Ford parts and procedures.

Got a Recall Letter? Here's What Happens Next
The most common question we get: "I got a letter, but you say you can't fix it yet. Why?"
The Letter Often Arrives Before the Fix
Ford is required to notify owners as soon as a safety defect is identified — sometimes weeks before the repair parts or procedure are ready. If your letter says "remedy not yet available," that's what it means. Nothing is wrong with your dealer; the fix is still coming.
We Check Your VIN and Put You on the List
Call us. A service advisor will confirm exactly which recalls are open on your VIN, whether the remedy is available, and get you on our list. When the parts arrive, we contact you — you don't have to keep calling to check.
Inspection First, Then Repair
Some recalls require an inspection to determine whether your specific vehicle needs the repair. We do that first, at no charge. If the inspection shows the repair is needed, we may need to schedule a follow-up appointment once the parts are in — and for that second visit, free pickup & delivery or Mobile Service are often available depending on the recall, so you may not need to come back in at all. Either way, the recall gets closed out on your vehicle's record.
Check Your VIN Two Ways
The fast way: call 253-630-7500 with your VIN — a live coordinator picks up, no menu. We check it while you're on the phone and tell you exactly what's open, what's ready, and how long it takes.
The self-serve way: enter your VIN at Ford's official recall lookup or NHTSA. Your VIN is on your registration, insurance card, and the driver's-side dash plate visible through the windshield.
What to Bring
- Your VIN (or just the vehicle — we'll read it)
- The recall letter, if you have it (not required)
- Your keys — that's it
No purchase paperwork needed. No proof of where you bought it.

— John B., Escape owner“Picked up my truck at my house, quickly figured out the issue, found a second issue, repaired both issues and returned my truck to my house.”
— Mark M., F-150 owner“I was informed of what my vehicle would need in the future and in what priority it would be needed. That is very helpful to an individual who knows little about vehicle maintenance.”

Ford Recall FAQs
Is a Ford recall repair really free?
Yes. Safety recall repairs — parts and labor — are performed at no charge. That's federal law, not a dealership promotion.
Do I have to go back to the dealer I bought from?
No. Any authorized Ford dealer can perform your recall, regardless of where you bought the vehicle — even out of state or used from a non-Ford lot.
Can an independent shop do my recall?
No. Ford recalls can only be performed by authorized Ford dealers using Ford parts and procedures. An independent shop can't close it out on your record.
Why did I get a letter if the fix isn't available?
Ford must notify owners as soon as a defect is identified — sometimes before parts are ready. Call us; we'll confirm your VIN's status and contact you when the remedy arrives.
How do I check if my Ford has an open recall?
Call 253-630-7500 with your VIN and we'll check it on the spot. Or enter your VIN at Ford's recall lookup or NHTSA.gov.
How long does it take, and can I get a ride?
Varies by recall — some are quick software updates, others take a few hours, and some need an inspection first with the repair as a follow-up visit once parts arrive. We'll estimate when you schedule. Complimentary shuttle available; many recalls, including follow-ups, qualify for free pickup & delivery or Mobile Service.
