Several Ford Pro EVs and Charging Equipment Eligible for Tax Credits

The IRA provides qualifying commercial customers with the potential to earn clean vehicle tax credits of up to $7,500 per electric vehicle (EV) purchased. Ford Pro vehicles eligible for the incentive include Ford E-Transit™ vans, F-150 ® Lightning® Pro pickups and other Ford commercial EVs. In addition, tax credits are also available for businesses that purchase and install Ford Pro Charging equipment.

Helping Ford Pro Customers Leverage Tax Incentive Opportunities

This free consultation is especially useful for small-sized to medium-sized businesses that don’t have in-house expertise to help them navigate IRA tax incentives. This is just one part of the Ford Pro portfolio of services designed to help business customers manage total costs.

This offer is open to all Ford commercial customers with a Ford Fleet Identification Number (FIN). Customers who qualify for a FIN include those with fleets of 15 vehicles or more, or customers who are purchasing five vehicles together.

If you’re ready to get started with your company’s Ford Fleet Account, the steps are easy.

First, determine your eligibility.

Requirements include:

Commercial, Fleet Management, Rental or Utility Company Customers

Bought, registered and/or leased five or more NEW cars and trucks, of any make and model, owned or leased in the company’s name within the past 12 months.
Otherwise, you need to have a fleet consisting of at least 15 vehicles, of any make and model, owned or leased in your company’s name.
Government Agency

Bought, registered and/or leased five or more NEW cars and trucks, of any make and model, owned or leased in the company’s name within the past 12 months.
Otherwise, you need to have a fleet of at least three vehicles, of any make and model, owned or leased in your agency’s name.
Taxi Company

Bought, registered and/or leased at least two NEW vehicles, of any make or model, owned or leased in the company’s name within the past 12 months.
Otherwise, you need to have a fleet of at least five vehicles, of any make or model, owned or leased in the company’s name.
Livery, Limo or Funeral Company

No minimum vehicle required with a For-Hire permit, Letter of Intent or Livery License in the company’s name.
Ambulance Services and Transportation Organizations

Clients that want a Government FIN that are not a municipality, including Ambulance services, are required to forward a Government Funding letter when enrolling. This only applies to transportation service companies, typically for medical appointments or nursing home usage that meet the government funding criteria. This DOES NOT include a City, Township, County, Borough, District, Parish or Authority.

REQUEST YOUR FORD FLEET IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (FIN)
1. Register online or contact the Ford Fleet Customer Information Center (FCIC) by calling 1-800-34-FLEET.

2. Once your documents are received and verified, the FIN Code will receive activation. You will be asked to provide proof of ownership regarding the vehicles in your fleet. You can fax this documentation to (313)-390-4829. The following documents serve as adequate records:

Insurance schedules
Current vehicle registration
Billing statements from the leasing company
Lease agreements
3. Once the verification has been completed, you’ll receive the Ford Fleet welcome packet in the mail. This includes your new FIN code plus the access code to complete web registration. It also comes with a yearly list of incentives. Ford Fleet customers receive access to exclusive benefits, specifically tailored to our commercial clients. These include:

SECTION 179 TAX DEDUCTION LIMITS
The Section 179 Deduction is now $1,000,000. This means business can deduct the full cost of equipment from their taxes, up to $1,000,000 with a "Total equipment purchase for the year" threshold of $2,500,000. This is a great deduction and you should take advantage of it. A true small and medium business tax break.

Section 179 is squarely aimed at small to medium businesses that purchase anywhere from $5,000 to $2,500,000 worth of equipment. The full deduction can be claimed until that $2,500,000 number is reached. Once that happens, the deduction decreases on a dollar for dollar basis ( when it disappears entirely once $3,000,000 worth of equipment is purchased).
