I started my search at Sound Ford of Renton and unfortunately had a very poor experience. From the beginning, the interaction felt disrespectful and unprofessional. I came in with a vehicle that had already been appraised at over $40,000, yet they immediately offered me around $30,000 for my trade-in without and reasonable explanation. Chris Kelly gets 5 stars and more for his excellent service in helping my wife and me order the truck that suited our needs. It wasn't much by most people's standards--a work truck that is pretty basic by today's standards. But you'd never have known we were regular folks buying a simple vehicle. Chris treated us with respect and patience and worked hard to get us what we needed. Even met with us right away when we showed up early--twice! I'm disappointed in the integrity of Bowen Scarff leadership. I purchased my truck there and have had it consistently maintained, including a recent and significant investment in new brakes, brake fluid service, spark plug replacement and other preventative services. Upon returning home, I noticed the skid plate was hanging down underneath my truck and discovered that a bolt had been overtightened and tore out the corner of the plate. I was going to finalize my purchase at another dealership when I saw a listing for a newer model of the same car in my favorite color here at a really good price. When I showed interest on the website Jason was incredibly quick to reach out and give me more information on the price for the car and work out a deal with me to get the total price to be in my original price range. Not a good place to obtain out of warranty repairs. Took my 2008 F250 Lariat with 43,000 original miles to check on a chattering noise coming from my dash behind the radio. Turns out to be a defective blend door actuator, a $30. part that they wanted over $3,000.00 to replace. Then they said I also needed my antifreeze and brake fluids flushed for an additional $400. I told the scheduler that Bellevue Ford just did those flushes last year, 1,000 miles ago and and doesn't Ford warranty these flushes. He didn't know why his mechanic wanted that work done.
