With the all-new 2020 Escape, redesigned from the ground up, the capability and road appeal that won this SUV an enthusiastic following will continue into the next generation. Escape will have a stylish new look, unrivaled interior flexibility, and a vibrant, powerful presence to satisfy its growing owner base. That means a lineup stocked with new possibilities, featuring five trim levels and multiple powertrain choices - including both a hybrid and plug-in hybrid(1) model. The 2020 Escape is slated to arrive at dealerships this fall.

With its versatile lineup, 2020 Ford Escape can help owners embrace life's adventures. Here's how Escape offers choice and flexibility:

  • An expanded model lineup with five trim levels - S, SE, SE Sport, SEL and Titanium
  • Hybrid powertrain comes standard with the SE Sport and Titanium 400A models
  • Plug-in hybrid offered on SE, SEL and Titanium
  • Versatile interior with sliding rear seats, offering 6 inches of seat travel forward or back
  • Wide selection of available driver-assist technologies, including first-in-class Active Park Assist 2.0, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and segment-exclusive head-up display (HUD)
  • All-Wheel Drive (AWD) now available on all Escape trim levelsincluding hybrid models
  • 3,500 maximum trailer tow capacity when properly equipped

Design

2020 Escape has a striking new design with streamlined exterior styling that stands out in a crowded field of competitors:

  • All-new appearance for a new generation with an athletic profile that conveys a look of capability and confidence
  • Inside, redesigned instrument cluster with an available, fully digital driver's cluster featuring a 12.3" digital productivity screen, plus an available 8" color LCDtouchscreen in the center stack
  • All-new interior which is designed to provide more room than the previous Escape

Efficiency

  • Escape is both fun-to-drive and efficient. It achieves that combination with this engine lineup:
    • All-new 1.5L EcoBoost I‑3 engine with cylinder deactivation technology
    • 2.0L EcoBoost I‑4 with twin-scroll turbocharger to help offer power when you need it
    • All-new 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle I‑4 Hybrid powertrain
  • Hybrid powertrain maintains all the benefits of an SUV but with remarkable efficiency
  • Escape with the Hybrid powertrain is targeting an EPA-estimated range of over 550 miles(2)
  • Auto Start-Stop Technology on the 1.5L EcoBoost and 2.0L EcoBoost engines
