The newest Ford commercial van comes complete with numerous features that increase comfort and productivity. The 2019 Ford Transit Cargo Van has an available power inverter, high-capacity upfitter switches and lane-keeping alert with driver alert functions. The available SYNC 3 system is also voice-activated, so hands stay where they belong; on the wheel.

Exterior Design

The Ford commercial van comes with a low, medium and high roof. There are also two wheelbases and three body lengths to fit any company's needs. You also get a choice of various cargo doors with the Ford work vans. Choose the passenger-side 60/40 hinged cargo doors or sliding door instead. There is also a rear-hinged 50/50 cargo door available as well. Interior Design

Unlike the Ford Transit passenger vans, the Ford commercial cargo van features seating for two people, no matter which model you choose. The passenger vans include several rows of seating holding up to 15 people that are removed in the cargo vans for cargo room/work space. Depending on Ford Transit length you choose, you can expect 77.6 to 123.2 ft³ in the rear. All Ford vans get standard A/C front and rear, cruise control, locking glove box, 12-volt powerpoint, step well pads and 4" multi-function display.

Ford Transit Performance & Towing Capacity

There are three engine options with the Ford commercial van. Choose a 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 that pumps out 275 horsepower, the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with best-in-class gas torque of 400 lb-ft or the 3.2L Power Stroke I-5 Diesel. These all come paired to a six-speed SelectShift transmission. The Transit Cargo Van comes with a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. All Ford cargo vans are able to tow at least 4,200 pounds. Available features make towing even easier such as trailer brake controller and anti-lock brakes.

GVWR & Payload

The Ford commercial vans feature a GVWR of 8,600 to 10,360 pounds. The payload reaches up to 4,640 pounds. The gross vehicle weight rating refers to the maximum operating weight of the vehicle. It includes the chassis, engine, body, accessories, passengers and cargo. It depends heavily on which Ford Transit van dimensions you opt for.
